Colours make a special impact, not only on ourselves but on the rooms we inhabit. They create an atmosphere, they inspire us, and they can either calm or energise the mind. Each colour transmits its own individual energy to the observer. For example, blue tones have a cooling and calming effect, while red tones spur us into action and increase our performance. Yellow tones, on the other hand, are known to foster creativity and add warmth to a room. Essentially, each colour has its own very special symbolism and it can be fun to play around with a colour's specific characteristics and to use them for the desired purpose – even if just purely for aesthetics.
