The (re)discovery of vacant, weathered buildings on which time has clearly left its mark and which allow a glimpse into the past is currently very much in vogue: on the 24 new wallpaper motifs of the „Lost Places“ series, abandoned places are revived and artfully staged with light and viewing angle technology by Stefan Hefele, that the shabby and morbid rooms appear decorative and imaginative as a photomural on the wall.
On the one hand, the „Lost Places“ wallpaper motifs bring the mystical aspect of the forgotten and the abandoned into the home – on the other hand, these dilapidated walls still exude a touch of the former splendor and swank and ensure a subdued, majestic atmosphere in the living room.

After two wallpaper collections with landscape subjects, the "Lost Places" photomural motifs are already the third exclusive cooperation that was created in collaboration between Stefan Hefele and Komar. Born in Schwabmünchen in 1986, the photographer is nowadays one of the leading landscape photographers in Germany and has opened up new worlds of wallpaper for Komar with the shots of the fairy-tale, mystical buildings of the "Lost Places" – which pick up on a current trend and decorate the home imaginatively.
