1. Declutter
Letting go is often easier said than done. There’s always a niggling feeling that something could come in useful. Now is the time to let go. Ask yourself when you last used the accessory or item. If it was more than a year ago, you can safely say goodbye to it. Free yourself from things you no longer need and feel inspired by the newly created space.
2. Sort
Sort through your drawers, shelves and other storage spaces and their long-forgotten contents. Spend 10 to 15 minutes a day going through the contents of a particular item of furniture. This way, instead of spending entire days tidying, you will bring order to your home gradually.
3. Organise
The right organisational system is key to the optimal use of the space in your home. Baskets, drawer organisers, storage boxes and storage tins are a great solution because, aside from looking good, they keep everything in order and allow you to see exactly what you have.
4. Tidy up and stow away
If you still have items taking up space, we recommend multifunctional furniture. A bed with built-in drawers, for example, a storage bench or cleverly designed coffee tables provide additional storage that almost goes unnoticed.
