Together with her husband, Sophia recently moved into their own home: a modern new build, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The couple is soon expecting their first child – a new chapter that is also reflected in their interior design. Not only was the dressing room decorated with a special wallpaper, but the nursery has also been lovingly designed. Naturally, we didn’t want to miss out on this and had the pleasure of visiting Sofia and her husband in their new home. And because Sofia is always up for some fun, we took the chance to ask her a few personal questions.

Question: How would you describe your interior style?
Answer: I would describe my interior style as modern with a touch of industrial. You’ll also find elements of Art Deco here and there in my home.

Question: You’re expecting your first child – what’s going through your mind?
Answer: First and foremost, it’s a great sense of anticipation. Just the thought that new life will soon join us fills me with deep gratitude. Every time I walk into the nursery and simply let the room sink in, it creates a very special moment.

Of course, there’s also respect – for all the first times that lie ahead of us. So many things will be new, unfamiliar, and exciting at the same time.

My greatest wish is to create a sense of security. A place where we as a family can feel comfortable, arrive peacefully, get to know each other, and embark on this new adventure together.

Question: Fashion is a constant theme for you – also professionally. How is that reflected in your dressing room?
Answer: My dressing room is a reflection of my multifaceted love for fashion – built on a classic foundation but open to every style. No day is like the other: sometimes I go for a casual, sporty look, other times it’s a dress – or not at all. That very flexibility is what appeals to me. My dressing room offers space for all of these facets – stylish, well thought out, and always adaptable to my mood and everyday life.

Question: What does a moment of calm in everyday life mean to you – and where do you find it best?
Answer: For me, it means consciously taking time for myself – moments when I find peace and simply reconnect with myself. That could be in the garden, surrounded by nature, or in a lovingly designed room at home. Our own four walls always remind me to pause amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, take a deep breath, and recharge my energy.

Question: How do tradition and style reveal themselves in your life?
Answer: For me, tradition and style are expressed above all in people coming together on special occasions – holidays, family celebrations, or simply when spending time together. That has deep value for me and provides a sense of grounding. But the view from our windows also reflects this thought: the breathtaking mountain panorama that I’ve been privileged to see for more than 32 years reminds me every day how beautiful and unique my homeland is. Our modern home captures exactly that feeling – large windows open the space to nature, letting the outside become part of the inside. In this way, contemporary style connects seamlessly with a deeply rooted sense of home.

Question: What do you focus on in your personal interior design?
Answer: For me, it’s important that there’s a clear underlying idea – a kind of concept that carries the room. But the finishing touches evolve quite intuitively. Often everything starts with a special piece, a so-called “it-piece,” that sets the tone. Around this highlight, I gradually develop the rest of the interior – spontaneously and guided by instinct.

I also like to give the room a bit of time. I consciously practice patience and let things grow instead of wanting to make everything perfect at once. That way, a coherent overall picture emerges in the end – not only well thought out, but also full of personality and life.

Question: Your tip for more homeliness?
Answer: I always go for a personal it-piece – a special element that makes the room unique. It could be a striking wallpaper, a characterful vase, or a one-of-a-kind piece with history. Something that stands out and gives the space an individual touch. It’s exactly these details that create atmosphere and turn a house into a home full of personality.

Question: Which room has the most meaning for you?
Answer: For me, it’s clearly our ground floor – especially the open-plan living and dining area with its large panoramic window that looks out onto the mountains. This is where life happens: family, friends, shared meals, lively conversations. It’s a place of togetherness, always bustling with warmth, views, and a true sense of home.

With the new wallpapers now decorating the nursery, hallway, living room, and dressing room, not only has color moved into the home, but also even more personality. Every room tells its own story – lovingly designed, with a fine sense for detail and an open outlook on the future.
